“Come and..make music” we said…..and they did! 17 children came along and after a drink and some cake we all learned about bells and bell plates.

As the leaves start to turn and the summer temperatures fade, there’s a chance this month to enjoy a walk or cycle ride to visit the county’s beautiful churches.

Suffolk Historic Churches Trust’s 38th annual Ride and Stride takes place on Saturday, September 14 and hundreds of people are expected to join in.

It’s quite a challenge to know how many children might arrive on the day and so how many sets of ingredients to prepare. Today I weighed out 16 sets and guess how many children came? You’re right – 16!
