- We believe that God loves each one of us and wants us to be in a relationship with Him. We do wrong things that God doesn’t like. (we refer to this as sin) We believe that in Jesus we have a way to come into a relationship with God. God’s love is perfectly revealed to us through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. As God’s Son, Jesus shows us what the nature and character of God is.
- We believe that God is active in the world and we are called to join in with what He is doing and share the Good News as revealed in Jesus with those we meet.
- We believe that the Bible is God’s word to us. By prayerful reading and study the Holy Spirit continues to reveal to us His wisdom and His calling on our lives.
- We believe that as a church we are called worship God and grow to know Him more, allowing ourselves to be transformed by the Holy Spirit.
- We believe church is a group of people seeking to be disciples of Jesus. As Christians we are far from perfect but rather forgiven and seeking to follow.
- We believe that an expression of our love for God is found in our love for one another. We seek to grow to love one another more – being a community that is defined by love, thanks and forgiveness as we know we often get it wrong. In growing close to each other we express God’s love
- We believe that we are called to share the wonderful good news of Jesus love with those in our community. We are motivated by a desire to see those we meet as God sees them, those who are loved and are called to love.
- We are part of the Church of England and the wider church that proclaims the Good News as revealed in Jesus Christ. Through prayer and practical action, we support the work of the church in our locality, country and beyond.
