On a very hot afternoon, 22 children came to build a bridge which would support a vehicle they made – all from Lego.

The bridge had to span the gap between two tables and support not only the “car” but also …..an egg! That went very well, so we decided to test the strength of the bridge by stacking up juice boxes on it …and eggs. When the first bridge collapsed everyone was relieved to find the eggs were hard-boiled, so not nearly as messy as the grown-ups dreaded.

The winning team of Eva and Matilda won a trophy, everyone had a certificate and no one kept the eggs! Great fun.
