I’m sitting at my computer on Sunday afternoon after the most amazing weekend of celebrations, beginning with being ordained Priest at St Edmundsbury Cathedral on Saturday 2nd July and ending with a celebratory lunch with friends old and new after presiding at communion for the first time.

The ordination service was as incredible as I thought it would be. For me the highlight was when I went up to actually be ordained by Bishop Martin: he put his hands on my head and I could feel all of the supporting clergy move in beside and behind me, placing their hands on my shoulders and back. This truly has been a journey where I have felt held and loved by those around me, including you my wonderful curacy church!

So thank you – thank you for welcoming me and loving me, for supporting me, for celebrating with me this weekend and for all of the hard work so many of you did to make everything happen smoothly this weekend, it is much appreciated. It continues to be a joy and a privilege to serve my curacy here in Old Felixstowe.
