To update on the graveyard at St Peter & St Paul:

People have contacted us regarding the length of the grass. Maintenance of the church yard is the responsibility of East Suffolk Council. 

During these unprecedented times they are using their work force to concentrate on key verges and areas that affect sightline on roads etc. Unfortunately that means that graveyards aren’t seen as a priority at this stage.

Until this week (25/05) we had been told that we couldn’t do any work ourselves due to national church guidance  on covid-19 restrictions. These have changed as of this week, so we’re hoping to clear some access paths to different areas of the graveyard, to make it easier.

However, the whole area won’t be cleared until Norse are able to do it though, so please bear with us
