There was a distinctly Italian flavour to our “Come and …” session this month!

Twelve children came to make pasta salad. Using peppers, sweetcorn, cucumber, peas and black olives to create a really colourful salad for their tea or packed lunch. Some of the children were due to go on a visit to BT and planned to take it with them.

They learnt about pasta shapes and names, then had a go at using the pasta machine to create tagliatelle and spaghetti. Along the way they picked up some useful words and we all left with cheery words of “ciao “ (and “arrivaderci “ for those who could roll their “R’s”).
