A huge thank you for your support of Boost in 2024. We’ve seen a busy start to the year, most recently with the whole of Year 7 coming to the Garden during their health and wellbeing enrichment day. Thank you to Rev. Chris and to Jean for leading a session around the campfire, reflecting on mental health, wellbeing, and noticing things in creation around us, and to all the other volunteers who joined us from local churches throughout the day.

Clubs have been particularly popular this winter, with record numbers of students at Chess, Garden and Theology Club. We’ve chosen to split Theology Club into two separate groups- Years 7, 8 and 9 on a Wednesday lunchtimes, and Years 10 and above on a Friday lunchtime. It’s been brilliant to give each group of students the time and space to fully take part. We’re currently working through a series on the Ten Commandments and what they might mean for our lives today.

Pastoral support for students continues to be in demand. Since September 2023 we have been able to support 79 students with 159 sessions. The most frequent referral is for bereavement support.

We are so fortunate to be able to provide a full-time chaplaincy at Felixstowe School, and we are coming up to our tenth year of chaplaincy. Thank you for all your support and prayers as we continue on this journey supporting our young people.
