It was recently reported that during this lockdown period more people are tuning into church services than ever went before and that people are calling out to God in prayer. Others have spoken about how they have found prayer challenging and different in this time. Old rhythms that have sustained us for many years no longer fit the new way of being. This maybe a time to explore new ways of praying and to ask God to reveal more about prayer and Himself to you.

God delights in our prayers and we testify to the importance of prayer in all times.

To help guide with this we have tried to put together a series of online resources regarding prayer that may help. We will look to add to these and please let us know if you encounter resources that you have found beneficial. - the home page from the team behind the Prayer Course which can be accessed on-line - a page that has tips on how to pray - reflections on the Lord’s prayer - tips on how we pray - prayers form the church of England regarding the Corona Virus Daily Celtic Prayer from the Northumbria Community - a link to the Facebook page of Bishop Martin and Bishop Mike where daily prayers are shared together and they are posting regular reflections on prayer.
