Eleven very excited children arrived at the OFCA building on Tuesday 15th January. After they’d had a drink and a piece of cake they donned their aprons – checked and striped – and got ready to start. So with clean hands they were introduced to couscous, then all the vegetables that would make it “Traffic light couscous”.
There was serious concentration as they chopped and stirred and then delight in their colourful result. Meanwhile parents, grandparents and helpers watched and chatted together enjoying cups of tea and coffee.
Nobody seemed keen to leave, because the children were finding it difficult to choose which of the “Goodness Gang” they would like to take home. We heard later that some of their couscous became a perfect packed lunch the next day.
