Having received on Wednesday official notification that we may open our buildings for private prayer, much work has been going on to ensure we can do this in a safe and sustainable way.

We are not open this week but are looking to be in a place where we can be open for a limited period in the next week or so.

The current plan is to open St Peter and St Paul for a period each day from Monday through to Friday. There will be restrictions and firm guidelines on how this will work, to ensure social distancing and protect the health of all.

We are currently looking for volunteers to help with the cleaning of the church at the end of each session on a rota basis. There will be guidelines provided and the timing could be flexible. If you are in a vulnerable group please put your own health first. If you are able to help with the cleaning please be in touch with Judy Jones or Jean Macpherson our church wardens.

This planning will be regularly reviewed and will change as the situation progresses

I would like to emphasise the point that this is for individual prayer and not an opportunity for small groups to pray together, as tempting as that may be.

We are awaiting guidance on when some form of group worship in the buildings may be able to start again.
