Do you want an exciting chance to get creative, learn new skills and make new friends at a special free monthly event?

Come and join us!

It’s an opportunity for families to get together, along with trying new things, plus there will be homemade cakes and refreshments.

The event is called “Come and…” and is being launched in January at the Old Felixstowe Community Association (OFCA) community centre.

It’s being offered to families with children of primary school age in Old Felixstowe and beyond. It is a chance for them to come along to the OFCA building after school to join in with a practical activity.

Each month there will be a different theme with topics such as planting and growing, as well as cooking and model-making among the many sessions being lined up.

Sessions will include “Come and… cook”, or “Come and… build”, or grow, craft, and invent, and many more exciting projects during the year ahead – with something for all to enjoy, have a go at and capture their imaginations.

The children must be accompanied by an adult – such as mum or dad, grandparents, carers – who will have an opportunity to participate as well as meet others.

The free event is being organised by members of Old Felixstowe Parish who hope that it will offer friendship and chance to build relationships– and lots of fun for all.

It is part of the work of the churches of St Peter and St Paul, St Andrew and St Nicholas Old Felixstowe Parish to help and serve the community in the Old Felixstowe area with projects and activities that are separate from church events.

“Come and….” will be starting on January 15 and the event will run every 3rd Tuesday in the month in the main hall at OFCA in Ferry Road from 3.45pm until 5pm.

As well as tea/coffee and cake for the adults, there will be snacks and drinks for the children, too.
